There are several ways that Fighters are released including: Ultimate Monkey (UM), King of Apes (KOA), and Planet Wars (KVK). The sections below will provide a chronological order of the UM/KOA fighters, a list of fighters that release with KVK, and some additional information on cadence/obtaining additional medals.
Ultimate Monkey (UM) / King of Apes (KOA) Fighter Release Order
The recurring cadence for a new fighter type releases once Maximus appears for UM/KOA is 2 full cycles. For example, if UM/KOA new fighter = Maximus, he will appear in that UM/KOA and the following KOA before Bazell is released.
Once a fighter is available in UM/KOA, they will always be able to be selected from the fighter select option for future UM/KOAs. It’s important to note that the fighter selection option is not immediately available for all servers and will not appear until several fighters have been released in the event. The actual number until it appears is unknown; however, it does become available relatively early in the list (Less than 5 fighters released).

Fighters from Planet Wars (KVK)
Medals for fighters obtained in planet wars eventually become Tavern Fighters. This means that you can obtain their medals through the Ape’s Tavern via the Deluxe Banquet tickets (random and guaranteed every 100 tickets).
