In September 2023, Age of Apes released Version 0.57.0, introducing the strongest tier troops to date: Tier 6 (T6 or VI). However, access to these powerful troops was restricted by server duration, meaning players couldn’t unlock T6 until their server had been active for at least 300 days. Surprisingly, even a year after its release, accurate information about the exact requirements for T6 remains elusive. In this guide, we’ll explore what is known, what remains unconfirmed, and what it takes to unlock those impressive T6 troops.
The Known Requirements
- City Hall must be level 35
- Research Lab must be level 35
- Warehouse must be level 35
- Pilots’ Camp, Hitters’ Camp, Shooters’ Camp, and Wall Breakers’ Camp must be level 32
- Minimum T6 Weapon Technology Requirements must be met (see below)
The Unconfirmed Requirements
Unconfirmed: All T5 Troops must be unlocked
10/26/2024 UPDATE
It has been confirmed that T5 troops ARE required to open T6 (any troop type). This is because Time to Soar, Hurricane Bullets, Force of Speed, and Chariot Assault 0-1 requires T5 troop type unlocked in order to start the research.
The T6 Weapon Technology Requirements
To gain access to T6 troops, you’ll need to meet the known requirements mentioned above (and possibly some unknown ones—we’re still working to bust that myth). Additionally, you’ll need to complete the minimum pre-requisites, which varies depending on which T6 troop you want to unlock (Pilots, Hitters, Shooters, Wall Breakers). We’ve highlighted these items in red so you can quickly see the differences below.

Conclusion
Whether you’re focusing on Pilots, Hitters, Shooters, or Wall Breakers, all paths share a core set of research requirements, with only slight variations. We’ve taken the guess work out of what to expect so you can focus on your unlocking strategy. Just remember, like Peter Parker’s uncle Ben once said: “With great power comes great responsibility.”
